Friends of Ren Xue supports the development and application of Ren Xue’s comprehensive system of inner development.
Our work currently focuses on three interconnected areas: strengthening the global capacity through which Ren Xue reaches people, developing Wisdom-Based Education, and exploring the potential contribution of wisdom to artificial intelligence.
Ideas have limited impact without people, organizations, educational resources, and technology capable of carrying them into the world.
Since 2019, Friends of Ren Xue has helped strengthen the international infrastructure through which Ren Xue is taught and made accessible.
Strengthening the community of credentialed teachers who bring the work to people in different countries, languages, and cultural settings.
Supporting courses, teaching materials, translations, and other resources that expand access to Ren Xue learning.
Investing in technology that allows people around the world to access teachings, courses, events, and learning resources.
Supporting independent Ren Xue organizations and collaborative initiatives that strengthen local communities and global capacity.
Creating opportunities for people across countries and cultures to learn and develop together.
Education has become extraordinarily effective at transmitting knowledge and developing intellectual and technical capabilities.
Yet many of the capacities that profoundly affect the quality of a human life receive far less systematic attention.
Wisdom-Based Education begins with the proposition that these capacities can be developed—and that their development deserves an intentional place in education.
Wisdom-Based Education is an emerging educational framework drawing upon Ren Xue’s comprehensive approach to human development.
Its purpose is not simply to add another subject to an existing curriculum.
It is to explore how education itself might more intentionally support the development of the whole human being—knowledge and capability alongside self-understanding, emotional maturity, healthy relationships, inner development, and wisdom.
The long-term vision extends across the lifespan, recognizing that human development does not end with formal schooling.
The underlying body of knowledge and practices already exists within Ren Xue.
The work now is to translate that foundation into an educational proposition that can be clearly articulated, developed into appropriate educational forms, researched, tested, evaluated, and improved.
This next stage will require expertise beyond the Ren Xue community, particularly in education, learning science, curriculum development, measurement, and research.

Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly capable of participating in areas once considered distinctly human: conversation, education, reasoning, advice, decision support, and reflection on complex questions about human life.
As these capabilities grow, an important question emerges:
Ren Xue may offer an unusual resource for exploring that question.
The Ren Xue teachings constitute a substantial and internally coherent body of knowledge focused on understanding human life, recognizing underlying patterns, developing healthier relationships, navigating difficulty, supporting inner development, and cultivating wisdom.
But the corpus is only part of the resource. It exists within a living knowledge ecosystem that also includes:
Providing an authoritative connection to the origins and intended meaning of the system.
With substantial knowledge of the framework and experience applying it to human situations.
With lived experience of the teachings and practices.
Together, these elements create possibilities not only for making wisdom knowledge accessible to AI, but also for evaluating how AI interprets and applies it.
The Ren Xue corpus has been made accessible through an AI environment and is undergoing structured evaluation by credentialed teachers.
The current work examines qualities such as accuracy, consistency, fidelity to the underlying framework, nuance, and usefulness in responding to human situations.

We do not presume that Ren Xue provides an answer to the larger challenges surrounding AI alignment or values.
We do believe that this combination of a coherent wisdom framework, curated corpus, living creator, and expert human community represents an unusual resource worthy of serious investigation.

Friends of Ren Xue supports this work through three complementary pathways.
We provide grants to independent Ren Xue organizations for projects that strengthen their work and contribute to the broader development of the Ren Xue ecosystem.
We work jointly with Ren Xue organizations and other partners when combining resources, expertise, and perspectives can create greater impact.
Friends of Ren Xue undertakes selected projects directly when an opportunity crosses organizational or geographic boundaries or requires shared global capacity.
These approaches allow us to support local initiative while also investing in work whose significance extends beyond any single organization or country.
Global capacity, Wisdom-Based Education, and Wisdom & AI may appear to be very different forms of work.

Each is at a different stage of development. All are grounded in the same commitment: helping people develop the inner capacities needed to live healthy, meaningful lives and contribute constructively to the world.
